When I did a "refresh" of Firefox to deal with some slowness, my Home Page favorites came back "differently"; Amazon came back as a search engine instead of the Amazon home page. It also inserted "Google search" as one of my choices even though I NEVER use Google as a search engine. I hit "dismiss" on both, but now it appears that Amazon is on a list somewhere. I need to access this list of "dismissed" items so that Amazon returns to my list. Can't remember how...

You can pin an Amazon page to a tile to undo the or reset this pref on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to the default value. The browser.newtabpage.blocked pref stores hashes, so you can't tell what websites are blocked.

  • browser.newtabpage.blocked stores websites that you have removed by clicking the X button in a tile.
  • browser.newtabpage.pinned stores websites that you have pinned to a tile.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
