Updated Firefox to 65.0.1 yesterday now a number of websites do not work including firefox support site (Will not let me log in, had to download Opera just to post this issue.)

Examples include Facebook not loading all content or allowing me to follow links (Links do not work at all.)

Youtube can't play single videos (Again acts like link is not a link.) Playlists will somewhat work if you right click and open link in a new tab but only play about 5-10 seconds of a video before moving to a new one for another 5-10 seconds of play while also taking a lot longer than normal (more than the usual 2-3 seconds from before the upgrade) to start the next video link 10-15 seconds.

Would add info from "about:support" but it will not allow me to attach a pdf (The only way I can do that since "Automatically add" button reqires using Firefox and I can't right now(Not logging in.)

As stated before no log in ability on the support site here.

Most other sites I have tested are missing content or links randomly work or not with no real reason, at least any that I can figure some work some don't and some work some times but not others.

I have done a full un-install and re-install to see if that had any effect and it did not. Also this is the only change to my computer in a little over a month, just the update to Firefox 65.0.1.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}

Type about:support in the address bar and press Enter. Under the main banner, press the button; Copy Text To Clipboard.. Now in the Reply Box on the forum page, do a right-click in the box and select Paste.

This will show us your system details. No Personal Information Is Collected.

First, I forgot to mention that I tried it after re-installing with the default profile from a clean install and no change.

And sorry, should have thought of the copy and paste.

Start your Computer in safe mode with network support. Then start Firefox. Try Secure websites. Is the problem still there?

Uhm, computer is not running Linux, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

And did that no change except a lot of garbage ads, but not all of them showing either, just place holders for the ones that didn't show. And as for testing links in the ads, forget it, I use an adblocker normally for a reason.

Also, no need for links to simple things like safe mode needed, I have too many years experience as a PC Tech.
But further testing and finally just wiped the 65.0.1 version and re-installed 65.0 and everything is working fine in version 65.0 so staying with it until next update, will test again then.

Sounds good. Puzzling, but good.

Yeah, Don't know what is going on. But 65.0 is fine and working good so I'll stick there for a bit longer.

Ok, not sure if posting this as solved was such a good idea, problem (exactly the same) is back now in version 67.0.1 and 67.0.2, and checked a number of bug reporting sites except mozilla's and seeing multiple people having this issue with forms and some links not working in firefox, most sites are reporting that it seems to be firefox issue with not following the HTML standards since most of the reported forms or links are simple HTML 5 links/forms, nothing fancy or proprietary. Hell even this site is not working in firefox. Had to use Opera (and tested in Microsoft Edge and that worked also.) to access the site AND to be able to post this information.

It is possible that (anti-virus) security software is causing the problem. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
