I am unable to access anything on my old computer - it just keeps crashing. I am specifically looking for an e-mail from Nov 2018 but my new account only shows emails from Jan 19. Is there anyway I can obtain old emails other than from my old computer?

By accessing your old hard drive yes. otherwise most probably no. IOf they were on the server they would have downloaded when you set up your new copy of Thunderbird.
