Hi, I am having problems with Lightning(v 6.2.7.2).(Windows Home 10 64 bit)

I currently have two event reminders that popped up(as they should have), but when I do the usual and try to either snooze or dismiss them, neither action works to submit them. I get the "This item has recently been changed on the server. Submitting your changes will overwrite the changes made on the server." and the two buttons "submit my changes" and discard my changes and reload". No matter what choice I make, it will not submit. I've tried to submit the reminders together and individually, tried restarting my computer, tried deleting the event, tried Task Manager, and even just hitting the "x" on all the windows (pertaining to Lightning) and absolutely nothing will get rid of it. These two reminders just sit there all the time.

This is driving me crazy! Any help would be appreciated!! Lisa

Oh, now I have four reminders that will not go away no matter what I do!!

I tried unchecking the box for "show missed reminders for writable calendars". But that is a temporary fix and, in the right circumstances, it can cause you to miss a reminder.

Please please guys, find a fix for this!!

and now I'm up to 6 reminders that will not go away.

Please guys, this software is crucial to me. My husband and I both have many doctors appointments(plus other events) and I use this calendar every single day. If I lose my calendar it will have a huge impact on my life!

Please help!

and now I have 8.

Where are we supposed to go for help?? We post problems and pray that someone will see it, and then pray some more that someone will actually have a solution.

This is beyond frustrating.

I have similar issues. Google calendar setting are not read only in properties, tried most of the common fixes as well with not much success.

Always seems to be related to past meeting or when I'm added to a new meetings that were recurring meetings created by others.

This issues has been a problem for a number of years and seems no way to clear them out. Sometimes unsubscribing works sometimes not.

Checking the Lightning options (Calendar Settings->Reminders) to Show missed reminders for writable calendars seems to help fix the issue but not sure that is the real solution.

Running on Windows 10 Pro Lightning 6.2.8 Provider for Google Calendar 4.4.2

Hi Sandy,

I tried the 'show missed reminders' thing too, but like you said, not a real solution.

I got looking around my problem reminders and realized they were all on the same calendar that I had created. I imagine somehow it became corrupt.

I love Lightning, but it's so frustrating when you have a major problem like this and no direct way to get help.

My final solution was to go through the ENTIRE YEAR, find all the reminders in that corrupt calendar, and recreate those events in a new working calendar. Then I deleted the corrupt calendar.

For me that was not a solution as I hate tampering with meetings that I didn't create.

So far the 'show missing reminders' has been working OK. At some point I will turn it off to see how may meetings have collected that I can't delete ;)

I'm with you, love Thunderbird/Lightning just some small nags now and again.

Sandy
