What is the red dot with a number in it next this bookmark?
I just noticed that one of my bookmarks now has a red dot with a number 1 in it. It doesn't go away no matter what I do including deleting the bookmark and re-adding it... It seems like it would indicate an update to that page as if I was following it or something. I also added numerous other bookmarks similar to that one in the same forums and they do not have that red dot in them... I've cleared my cache and cookies several times as well as site data... no change. I cannot find anything about it anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hmm, it's possible the site modifies the icon from time to time to provide information about new messages or notifications. Unfortunately, it appears Firefox saved one of those modified icons rather than the standard one. I am not aware of a way to refresh the icon, although perhaps if you create a new bookmark that one might have the current icon, and then you could delete the old one. ??
I ended up doing what was posted here and got it fixed https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37859753/refresh-favicon-in-bookmarks-firefox . Thank you both for your help. The key was I didn't know the bookmark icon was called a favicon... Thanks again!

Here's another more detailed picture.
What favicon do you get on the tab when you click this bookmark and visit this website?
You can try to rename/remove favicons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed. This will remove all favicons, so you will have to revisit a bookmark to get the favicon.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Directory:
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Thanks for the response but the Favicon is normal on the tab once the bookmark is clicked.... I may delete the favicon.sqlite as a last resort if it really gets to me.
