I understand how to access safe mode. But, how do I get firefox to start in safe mode after I close firefox? I'm tying to see why it takes so long to load my homepage. Is there a way so when I start my computer, and the firefox icon appears at the bottom, when I click on that icon, Firfox will start in safe mode? Can someone help?

Hello sciencemagic,

All you have to do is press the Shift key and then click on the Firefox icon; a dialog will appear - make sure to click on "Start in Safe Mode" and not on "Refresh Firefox", though.
