I was watching a Youtube video when suddenly the browser stuttered visually and crashed. Now the program will exhibit the same behavior starting a webm or youtube video immediately. No changes were made before this, though I have tried the workaround to turn off media.wmf.vp9.enabled and that did not fix the issue.

Did you try to close and restart Firefox or reboot the computer ?
