firefox document in recent files cannot be open....can't find

I created an email and when sent it disappeared and did not show in sent, trash or copy to my wife. In the Explorer file folder it showed as the most recent folder. It had the Firefox logo in front of it and when trying to open it stated it cannot find it under C:/user/bill/(subject of the email). Where did this email go? Why can't I open this folder?

Hi Bill, were you composing the message in the Firefox browser, or in a different program?

Normally messages you compose in Firefox on a webmail site are internal to the site and don't end up as a file on your hard drive.

If you are using Thunderbird or another email client, there might be a local file.
