I was working on a draft stored in my local folder, hit delete accident, and it vanished - not in local trash or anywhere - is this recoverable? Where it go?

Not a problem normally, but I hit delete button on accident and I think it was maybe only stored on local folder, and didn't go into trash local. I searched and it didn't come up, and "undo" was greyed out. I see how to change settings for server-stored drafts, but there seems to be no such setting when it's in the local draft folder. Where did the email go, besides "poof"?

When you are creating an email, you can set it up to save a drafts copy every x minutes. When you want to close the Write window and resume composing at a later date: If the auto save every X minutes has occured or you select save as draft. and Then click on the top right X to close window, you usually get a pop up asking 'Save', 'Discard Changes' or Cancel'

If you select 'Discard Changes' then the draft will close and you will only see a saved draft up to the last save in the 'Drafts' folder.

However.... If the auto save every X minutes has NOT occured (either it is not set or the time period has not elapsed) and you did NOT select save as draft. Then click on the top right X to close window, and you selected 'Discard Changes', the window will close, there are no saved copies and the email has gone 'poof'.

If not actually composing the draft email....If saved draft copy was in 'Local Folders' mail account and you clicked on the 'Local Folders' 'Drafts folder to see draft email in list and you select that email and clicked on 'Delete', then the email would be deleted and sent to 'Deleted' (or it may be called 'Trash') folder in the 'Local Folders' mail account.

Q: But what do you mean by local folder ? Q: Are you talking about an imap mail account folder or 'Local Folders' mail account?

Local folder. I think I was sans internet on laptop when I saved it at first.
