I have the latest version of Firefox and iOS. I have the built in pop up blocker installed. On most sites I’m bombarded by popups or ads. I thought iOS was safe against what appears to be virus or malware. Can anyone suggest any possible solutions?

I tried looking up a Firefox extension for a popular ad blocker and it said support for iOS but it said this instead which convinces me my iPad may be infected.
