Drafts don't get deleted when mail is sent
Using Thunderbird 68.7.0 on Ubuntu 20.04.
I have a single IMAP account (on icloud - mac mail). When I compose a message, a draft gets created and then it never gets deleted when I send the message. I have to manually delete the draft. This occurred on Ubuntu 19.10 also before I upgraded.

Drafts on the IMAP server may work on one computer and not the other because the Linux TB is not exactly the same as the Windows TB, apart from differences in OS. Or, the Drafts folder on the Linux computer might be corrupted. You can rebuild a folder by deleting the mbox and msf files, i.e. Drafts and Drafts.msf, from the profile folder and restarting TB.

Unless you need to access drafts from other devices, there's no point in storing them on the server.

Is the Drafts folder on the IMAP server? If you set it to Local Folders, do the drafts persist after sending?
The drafts folder is on the IMAP server. I also use Thunderbird on a Windows 10 computer, also set up with the drafts folder on the server. That version of Thunderbird does not have this problem.
