Latest Thunderbird version for Mac 38.01. I can no longer compose an e-mail message, or forward one or respond to one. The new message screen comes up, I can type in the address and subject line, but when the cursor tabs to the body text, there's nothing but a blank screen. And with no body text, the Send button is not active. I have 3 different accounts using 3 different services and servers, and the problem is the same for all three accounts. By the way, this was working fine with the same accounts on an older version of Thunderbird, but this new version wiped out my old version.

You are right on target. Started in safe mode and it took off as usual. Thanks for the help! Tony

If it works in safe mode, check your add-ons for compatibility, and the possibility that the layout is broken Reset toolbars and controls at safe mode prompt).
