How are they showing up? Ads?
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for a good ad blocker.
Thanks for trying to help me Fred. When i want to do some browsing for, f.e., a new bike, I get many chinese websites and amazon. And I don't want to buy anything from either. But they often take a whole screen with only these two. How can I search and not getting them?
You can also check for issues with malware.
@Shashank Sheckar: Thanks, I downloaded it but I find it very complicated. Haven't found yet how to use it, I am not very technical about these kind of matters. Watching a you tube from The Hated One, but it goes fast and is rather chaotic. If you know where I can find a good explanation of this addon I would be sincerely thankful.
To install Ublock Origin, do the following:
- Open Firefox.
- Click on the Menu button.
- Click Add-ons.
- Click Find more add-ons.
- Search for Ublock Origin.
- Click the Add to Firefox button.
- When prompted, click the Add button.
Setting Up Advanced Options:-
- Click on the uBlock Origin extension’s icon.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Tick the box next to “I am an advanced user.”
Once you have advanced settings enabled, you can adjust blocking settings on a granular level.
