Since an update to v77.0.1 (64Bit) all pages are shown as scrambled (see images attached)

Running windows 7 Ultimate OS

I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, deleting all folders and files to do with Mozilla in the process.

Places I found the folders/files are:

Program Data Program Files (x86) Program Files Users - X - Roaming Users - X - Local Users - X - Localow

Nothing seems to work...

Chosen solution

This can happen if you have disabled multi-process in Firefox.

Do you possibly have disabled multi-process in Firefox by using the MOZ_FORCE_DISABLE_E10S environment variable (its value doesn't matter) or have the browser.tabs.remote.autostart pref set to false on the about:config page ?

  • Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment variables

See also the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page for info about multi-process.

I can confirm that 76.0.1 (64-bit) works fine...

That could be the web page did not load properly.

Load the web page. Then, to reload the page bypassing the cache and force a fresh retrieval; Ctrl+Shift+R (Mac=Command+Shift+R)

Try this several times.

I've tried multiple websites on multiple installs, it was the first thing I checked but thanks anyway
