I'm really hoping I can use firefox on my android phone to find out where I might have lost my wallet on sunday night. Being security conscious I've turned off Location History in Google and restricted location permissions for apps, but not for firefox. I lost my wallet on the 2 mile walk home and it would be good to trace my steps and find it (I have to admit beer was involved)

Hi Peter

I fully understand and appreciate your predicament.

There is no seperate location history in Firefox for Android - any location data it uses (such as finding where you are on a map) uses the location information provided from the underlying Android platform. If you have that turned off (essentially turning off the device GPS, which also saves battery), you will not be able to track it back using the Google account information.

Really sorry we cannot help.
