No Twitter, just Russian Social Network

I just installed 68.10 for Mac. It does not give me Twitter as an option to setup for Chat, but instead gives me odnoklassniki which seems to be a Russian social media network. How did that happen?

I feel like you bought an Imac. It is known that Imacs do not really run smoothly with the versions 68.0 and the adjacent software.

Other- apple product do.

later this would be appropriate by appropriate departments of Thunderbird / Firefox.

Hi! Thanks for replying. I understand it is a Russian program. I do not understand why Twitter does not display as an option as I am not in Russia. It appears like this on other machines and OS's as well.

Darn good question. I'm on Windows 10 and just checked. It would seem it is the same on mine as well, so this has nothing to do with the OS. I'll try to find out what's going on.

I've asked around and had some helpful advice which pointed me to a bug.

In a nutshell, the end result is that Twitter is no longer supported.

This has a lot to do with Twitter as they are making some changes with API as of today. https://blog.twitter.com/developer/en_us/topics/tools/2020/introducing_new_twitter_api.html
