Why does Firefox version 68.10.1 for my mobile (Galaxy S9+ android version 10) use from 40% - 60% of my battery) when I’m not using the mobile?

When about 40% to 60% battery % left, my mobile all of a sudden goes down to 0% and gets shut down - even if the mobile was ‘inactive’ i.e. I was not using the phone or having any apps running in the background.

Normally I use 3% - 5% battery on Firefox a day, but about once or twice a week the Firefox ‘eats’ (uses) 30% to 60% of my battery capacity for no reason at all.

Can you please advise: Why do I have this problem? How do I fix my problem?

Looking forward to a quick reply as I am need to have a functional mobil.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Yours sincerely May-Britt Åberg

Hi

Do you have any tabs open that might have rich media like a video file or large images?

Hi Seburo, No tabs, apps or programmes are open. All "backgrounds activities" have been shut out. Best regards May-Britt
