For some reason I'm not able to play/pause or skip anything on Firefox using binds. Function keys are normal like F3 to find, F5 to refresh a page. I tried uninstalling Firefox entirely and reinstalling it and there is no progress. This play/pause bind works in Chrome and Brave but not on Firefox.

This feature is being developed under bug 1572869. Try to enter about:config in the URL bar and set media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled = true.
