I'm having an issues trying to add GMAIL to thunderbird.

It wants me to add a security exception. I've googled adding gmail and no one else seems to have this issue. maybe it's new?

Attached is the prompt and the certificate details....

When I go to certificate manager in Thunderbird's options I see I have a certificate in Authorities for the issuer GTS101. Perhaps you have edited the Authorities to remove things you do not think you need and removed that entry?

I have not edited anything with the certificates? I do not see GST CA 101 in my list? I'm running TB 68.11.0

How would it have got removed? How would I add it back in?

EDIT: I do see it in my list? So now what??

Here are the two certificates (maybe?) side by side...

So I tried just setting it up manually and then did a restart and it worked. I have no idea why...

Ok.. thought this was done... but TB was giving me this error this AM after working all weekend with gmail.

I restarted TB... and it seems to have gone away for now...  ????

How are you authenticating with Google? Did you use the new OAuth2 and get a pop-up window from Google asking you to confirm you want Thunderbird to have access?

Yeah I was using OAuth2. When I tried to do the auto setup I never got the prompt to authenticate. I got the certificate warning first. When I did the manual setup, I got the prompt to authenticate. But this AM, I was getting the cirt error again. Restarting TB fixed it for now. but it might be nice to figure out why I was getting the cirt error in the first place.
