No Daylight here
Sorry if this gets posted twice, but not even this page is working right. First, an extra step to get to my tabs doesn't make things faster. Second, no back and forward buttons. Really? Sure, I can use my tablet button to go back but there's no way to go back to the page I was on without a forward button. Come on! Third, I go to Amazon and I'm in mobile mode. Have to open settings and switch to desktop. If I close the browser and reopen it Amazon is back in mobile. I go back to settings and the desktop slider is on. Switch it off an on again and again but it won't go back to desktop. The only way is to close the tab, open a new one and switch to desktop again. I might be able to get used to the tabs thing, but not having a forward button and having no way to set the browser to automatically open sites in desktop is making this totally unusable.

As for the extra step for tabs, could you elaborate on what the extra step is?
The forward button can be accessed by clicking the menu (three vertical dots) and clicking the forward arrow. Use the tablet's back button to go back.
The desktop mode issue is a bug. It should be fixed in a future version of Firefox for Android.
HI, Matt. For tabs, instead of having them on top where you just reach up and tap one you have to go to the little box with the number in it, tap it and scroll down until you find the tab you want. I understand that on a phone, but for us tablet users, those are too many unnecessary steps. Same for the foward button. I'm glad to see there is one there but having to open a menu for it seems a little unnecessary too. Thanks for your response. I really appreciate it.
About the tabs: Here is a example go to Google search, do a search and open a link in another tab, "by long pressing the link and selecting open link in a new Tab". You should now be seeing two tabs, one that has google search results, and one that has the new web site. That's how the last version of Firefox for Android worked on tablets. With this latest version, it thinks it's on a phone, one tab showing, with a little square with a 2 in it. This is not what people using Firefox on a Tablet want or expect. If I did a quick tap on the link it should open in the same tab, that works.
