no emails just clones of my last one
My thunderbird stoped to retrieve emails from server. It duplicate my last opened email (ebay notification in this case) , so every time I get liek 5 new emails I get 5 new copies of this ebay notification . If there is 32 new emails to my server ...getting 32 clones of that one. Though it is ebay but checked and they don't do that ..then I realised Im not getting any new emails just those clones.
What is going on ?
Thanks

lets just go back to the start. Your anti virus is having a barking dog moment over some email that it, for some reason can not download, so it is downloading the last good one you received over and over ad infinitum.
So follow the instructions you clear out the most probable cause of such an email, your spam and trash folders, and see if it fixed the problem. If it does not turn your anti virus product off checking mail so the broken email can download.
It is your choice, but those are really the only two ways to fix your email. this has never been a problem caused by Thunderbird. It has however got a long history with Norton products in particular.

Open the account in webmail, delete the ebay message, empty Trash and Bulk/Spam, and see if the other messages download to TB.
there is no multipled ebay emial on my mail server -this works fine, Im getting all my emails. Those happens only in TB.
my profile got named "#####default-release " never seen it like that ,it used to be just "####default" .
maybe that's the problem ?
How to contact Thunderbird technical support instead writing here, I need help and it is urgent

You 're right about antivirus -once I switched off Avira it all went back to normal.
