No adblock extensions work on new update
My adblocker is now reading as not available on firefox for android. THIS IS BS. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED.

A small number of extensions are available via Menu button > Add-ons. We hope to include support for more add-ons with future updates. However, the team is evaluating how to do this in a way that avoids the security and compatibility issues we had with previous versions of Firefox.
It was compatible fine before. It is vital this be fixed. It effects the entire user experience across the internet. If it's not fixed in a couple days I will likely use another browser where I can use an adblocker.
uBlock Origin is an ad blocker and is available for install.
Just checked (again). Nope. Not for firefox on android.
Please send a screenshot of what you're seeing.

As indicated, please press the menu button and select 'Add-ons' from the menu. More detailed instructions can be found in this article: Find and install extensions on Firefox for Android.
Ok I do see it there. I will try it but I very much want adblock plus and ublock makes it clear in its description it is not an adblocker. I don't know if it will block the ads I'm used to seeing blocked - which has been 99.99% of them. Thank you.
Oh, it requires a ton of permissions that I'm definitely not okay with. I don't recall adblockplus needing that. Adblockplus needs to be made accessible! It was working fine before!
I think you may be surprised (in a good way) with how uBlock Origin works. Please give it a try.
Please note that uBlock Origin is part of our Recommended Extensions program.
You can compare the permissions for both extensions on addons.mozilla.org.
uBlock Origin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ AdBlock Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
I'd also suggest reading the privacy policy for both extensions.
Ok, then when is BluHell Firewall getting added back? And my themes? And my cookie manager? This was a terrible move. If your "update" if you can dare call it that breaks add-ons then it is not ready to release yet. And yes, this broke add-ons and was a bad update. You can use maybe a handful that most people used before and anything else is gone. So much for customization or user choice, which was the whole intent. Don't go Google and Chrome on us. You forced everyone into a beta they didn't ask for and try to tell us we have no right to complain about that and having our choices ripped away. Please. I've been using this browser as a whole for over 12 years and I have every right to complain about this heading in the completely wrong direction especially since I probably have more experience with it than a lot of the development team apparently, at least with the aspect of not making obviously bad moves that will anger 90% or more of the userbase and then blaming them for my poor choices. Take responsibility for your screw up.

x2 They should have launched it as a new app because they destroyed everything good that firefox has had in these years.
