I keep getting an error message when I try to create a Gmail account in Thunderbird

I just spent an hour online with Google trying to set up my gmail account in Thunderbird, which had been working but stopped working.

They had me remove the gmail account and create a new one.

But I can't.

Thunderbird keeps giving me the error message who's image I've added to this query.

Can anyone help me please?

I resolved this, as the account was actually created but the settings weren't correct.
