I recently installed Thunderbird as POP (which worked OK and accessed my email) and was later advised to change to IMAP. I changed the settings but now appear to have two 'accounts' with a single email address. The one set as IMAP does not download my emails. How can I delete one or other of these so I now have a single Thunderbird account?

Chosen solution

Tools/Account Settings, select the account you wish to remove, then Account Actions at the bottom of the left pane, Remove Account. Since you can't delete the Default account, set another account as Default (with Account Actions), then remove the other one.
