Hell all, Can the "Automatically mark message as read" setting under menu items "tools>options>display" be applied differently to individual email accounts or is it only a global setting? Cheers, Graeme.

If you need to have different settings for accounts, in the case of global options, create separate profiles and add accounts to each one. Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles, to create and manage profiles.

Thanks for the idea sfhowes. The user is a complete technophobe. 2 instances of thunderbird would be too much for them to cope with. ;-). Cheers, Graeme
