Why isn't my Thunderbird getting update?
I'm on Ubuntu Linux, GTK 3-34, currently using Thunderbird.
The thing is, I have all the requirements for the most recent Thunderbird version (78), and I'm still on v.68. It shows on the Snap Store, but it's unavailable to install. The app itself says it's all up to date.
Any tips or explanations? Thanks a lot.

EDIT - dumb Q but did you do a forced package upgrade? My upgrade was sitting there but didn't install for some reason I ran upgrade another time and it came thru.
Good question I have two Linux computers identical distros looks like one updated to 78 at least a week ago maybe longer the other one has not updated yet so when? The "update" tab in my options is non-existent (this may be a reported bug?) therefore I do not have updates disabled.

As long as you use a Thunderbird package provided by your distribution you should ask in a support forum for your distribution.
I also have a Windows 8 pc running TB 68. The updates have not been disabled. Still has not pushed thru - see pics.
Regarding my message to op above - I run Deb 10 and in my synaptic showed v 68 only available regardless of how many times I update the repo. I finally ran update thru CLI and v 78 came thru. Not tech savy enough to understand why. Maybe give it a try yourself.
