Send Message Error after Thunderbird upgraded itself
When I restarted Thunderbird today, it automatically upgraded itself to version 78.4.0 (32-bit). Unfortunately, I am now UNABLE TO SEND MESSAGES. When I hit Send, a box pops up with the following message:
Send Message Error
Sending of the message failed. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol. The configuration related to outbox.whoi.edu must be corrected.
I have checked my outbox.whoi.edu configuration, and it is set correctly as follows:
SMTP Server
Settings Description: Server Name: outbox.whoi.edu Port: 587 Default: 587
Security and Authentication Connection security: STARTTLS Authentication method: Normal password User Name: lmartin
Can you please help me to restore the functionality of my email, so that I can send messages once again?
Thank you.

You should inform your mail provider - because you don't what to be using obsolete security protocols forever.
