Since upgrading to TB 78.4.3, I have the following issues: 1 - when I start TB, it opens to a blank white page. If I minimize and restore, the gui comes back. BUT. . . 2 - Nothing works. I cannot open any of my email folders; I can click on menu bar items, but none of them open. I can't access options, if I click on "About Thunderbird" the info box opens, but is blank white.

I tried starting with add-ons disabled, which worked briefly, then went back to above. I tried making the disabled add-ons permanently disabled, with no success. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling TB. I've made no other changes to my computer any time recently, and I don't know what else to do.

Please, help! And thanks in advance for any help from anyone!

Edit to original post. I have found that if I click on something (let's say the options button in the menu bar), then minimize and restore, that the options screen has opened up. If I then click on the vertical scroll bar, minimize and restore, the page shifts. Using this method, I tried turning off hardware acceleration as I'd seen in another post about white screens.

And it appears that I forgot to restart after disabling hardware acceleration. Disabling HW acceleration has solved my problem.
