Hi I've added a new email. My existing is [email]@theweddingowl.com and I've added [email]@e-lope.co.uk and I'm unable to send or I believe receive emails. I'm not technical so would love a step by step dummies guide to resolving where I've gone wrong.

Many thanks for your time x

What happens if you use the recommended settings, smtp.stackmail.com on 465, SSL/TLS, normal password? You are already using imap.stackmail.com for the incoming server. Tools/Account Settings, Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane to Edit. Then, select each account in the left pane of Account Settings and make sure that Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the right pane is pointing to the correct server, i.e. e-lope.co.uk account is sending on smtp.stackmail.com with the e-lope.co.uk User Name, and theweddingowl.com is sending on smtp.stackmail.com with the theweddingowl User Name. Two smtp.stackmail.com servers, with different User Names.

Hi there, I have a manual for you.

The intention is that you look up and fill in everything as well as possible before you start over.

Have a good antivirus on the computer machine.

Find your IP address and network keys if prompted. Check your Smtp options as described in the documents that are authorized in this mail.

Such information is on the back of your modem or router, you have already entered a key so that everything goes well. Fill in the rest how it is described in the information documents.

If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message.

Try one of our add-ons After solving. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/send-later-3/

Greetings Firefox volunteer.

Thank you but may I just check before undertaking this. It is my second email that is not working - if I do this will it cause me an issue with my first primary email?

Many thanks

What are your server settings? As far as I can tell, your domain mail is handled by Stackmail, with these settings (which should be the same as for the theweddingowl.com domain):

imap.stackmail.com on 993 or pop3.stackmail.com on 995, smtp.stackmail.com on 465; SSL/TLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.

If the theweddingowl account is working, check that IMAP access to the other account has been enabled on the host's website.

hi I believe I've gone through and checked that all my settings in hello@e-lope.co.uk match info@theweddingowl.com and I've just tried to send an email from a directory and received this error message This is a permanent error hello@e-lope.co.uk host mailauth-float.mail.stackcp.net [10.4.0.249] LMTP error after BDAT 2746 LAST 552.5.2.2 <hello@e-lope.co.uk> Quota exceeded (mailbox for user is full)

more options

I think the error message is pretty clear: the e-lope mailbox has reached its storage quota. If you copy messages from the account to a subolfder(s) of Local Folders, confirm the copies, then delete from the Inbox or Sent folders, plus any other IMAP folders, then compact folders, you will free up space in the mailbox on the server while still having access to the messages in Local Folders.

Stackmail may have a combined mailbox storage quota for all hosted accounts, so I would check to see if the theweddingowl account is approaching its limit. In short: keep IMAP folders as lean as possible, move old mail to Local Folders.

Hi Many thanks but the issue is there are no emails in the new email box ie just 3 as they won't send to this email address so to confirm the new mailbox is not full it is empty. Secondly, I set up secondary folders and archive so doubt if the parent email 'box' is full so any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hi Guys this is the email error I'm receiving Failed due to unexpected error 80004005. No description is available. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.e-lope.co.uk for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again.

Hi I understand that i.e. e-lope.co.uk account is sending on smtp.stackmail.com with the e-lope.co.uk But when you say User Name, and theweddingowl.com is sending on smtp.stackmail.com - is this not the same, or is this what you mean?

Getting so frustrated

Pleae can you also tell me have to change passwords when you have forgotten your password there doesn't appear to be an override? many thanks

The User Name, usually the email address, is under Server Settings in Tools/Account Settings for the incoming server, and under Outgoing Server (SMTP) for the outgoing server. Both accounts send on smtp.stackmail.com, but the e-lope account must be set to send on the smtp with the e-lope User Name, and the theweddingowl account must be set to send on the smtp with the theweddingowl User Name.

If you've forgotten a password or wish to change one, it can usually be reset on the host's site. Remove the old passwords in Options/Privacy & Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, then restart TB and enter the new password when prompted.

Many thanks but I'm still not there.

1. I deleted the email login passwords, closed down TB and restarted only to receive the same error message over the password for e-lope 2. Please see my settings as they currently stand, and the 'sheets' do not appear to have the same names as above, so I'm unable to see where I'm going wrong Your continued support is very reassuring, but I'm still not making headway, and I'm worried I'm losing business x Many thanks, Sam

and now I can't send from any of the emails - see below my new error message having deleted the password -now panicking please help urgently thanks Sam

Your settings for the incoming servers look OK, but the pictures don't show the outgoing server settings in Tools/Account Settings, Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane. Again, you should have two servers on smtp.stackmail.com, but with different User Names, for each account.

Confirm that the passwords used in TB are working when you log into the accounts with webmail. Note that TB has no capacity to change passwords - that's done on the host's site - it only applies the passwords that are set elsewhere.

Another issue that has come up recently is that Avast/AVG and ESET users have been blocked, even when all the settings are correct. What is your antivirus?

more options

Loving your instructions - really nice and clear thank you. But sadly not there yet.

Found my outgoing - see below hopefully, I've set this up correctly as the e-lope email wasn't there. So thank you.

Antivirus I use CCleaner but interestingly Avast appeared on something recently, so I've had to clean it off my system and now I recall that was when my issues began. So, I've checked it is off my system, changed the password on my website Wedding Owl. Changed my password on E-lope but sadly I'm stuck again. So any thoughts next or does that mean I'm doomed!

thanks so much so far Sam

sadly this error message has subsequently appeared x

Select the e-lope account in the left pane of Account Settings, then look at Outgoing Server (SMTP) in the right pane, and make sure the Default server (theweddingowl) is not selected, but the e-lope smtp is selected (click Edit SMTP server to see the User Name). The e-lope smtp should have the same settings as the theweddingowl smtp, except for the User Name.

Do not allow CCleaner to have any action on TB. The benefits are insignificant and the pitfalls are many. Open Options/Privacy & Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, and remove any obsolete passwords, or remove them all, restart TB, and enter the confirmed working passwords when prompted.

Hi, as far as I know, I've followed your instructions and still receiving error messages - please images below:

I notice there are a number of sites that recommend these settings for the outgoing server:

smtp.stackmail.com on port 587, STARTTLS security, authentication = normal password, User Name = email address.

https://webwise.wales/knowledge-base/email/setting-email-outlook/

Change the security and port for the outgoing servers, restart TB, and see if it works.

Hi Guys I have carefully followed your instructions and now I no longer have access to my info@theweddingowl.com or hello@e-lope.co.uk - these are both work emails so I'm desperate for help please?
