Bookmarks and menus
Hello, Somehow I ended up setting my page layout to original default. Now my bookmarks are showing on the left side of screen. I want to put them back on the top of the page and also the usual menu that was there. I started messing around because firefox added another line under the tab and menu bar with something new like "get started." I just wanted to get rid of that prompt and the extra space it created, and that's why I ended up here.

From the menu click customize, in the bottom right corner there is a button to "Restore Defaults" and maybe that can get you back to the start.
You likely did open the Bookmarks sidebar and have the Bookmarks Toolbar hidden.
In Firefox 84+ you can toggle the Bookmarks Toolbar via Ctrl+Shift+B, previously used to open the Bookmarks Manager (now Library => Ctrl+Shift+O). You toggle the bookmarks sidebar via Ctrl+B (unchanged).
Thanks for the input. I actually figured it out a different way. I right clicked on the top area and selected "bookmarks toolbar" and "menu bar". I think that's what I did. Those are the two options currently selected when I do right click now. Anyways, the "file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, tools menu is back on top. I think I did select "restore defaults" and that's when it went to side of screen.
