My gmail password stopped working. I even changed it in gmail and tried the new one and it still does not work? I can receive emails but not send them as it asks for the password. I get the error message: Enter your password for ..............gmail.com on smtp.googlmail.com I will enter it and it still does not work.

I made changes to my gmail settings as recommended solutions I found, and re-entered the new password in Thunderbird under >Saved Passwords.

Please help <:(............

Change the authentication method to OAuth2 on the incoming and outgoing, allow cookies in TB Options/Privacy & Security, remove passwords from Saved Passwords, restart TB, enter the account password in the OAuth browser window when prompted.
