Some Thunderbird emails seem to be missing the header and so display incorrectly
Migrated thunderbird profile from backup of PC that died to a new PC - fresh install of everything. Some of the emails are now showing as HTML code rather than as the text of the email. Also they are displaying wrongly in the listing ie the field where the sender usually shows now contains random words from the email. The message header seems to be missing. Is there any way to fix the issue or are the emails now just trash?

Hello there steveb6 We have read your massage. We try to help you.
Try to startup in safe modus ,see if the problem is still there. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird
Then we try to check first if there is a problem :
In view > toolbars the toolbar in the message header is the Message toolbar. Try unselecting it and reselecting it, just in case there is some oddness out there.
Otherwise try restarting with add-ons disabled from the help menu. Might be you have a bad add-on causing the mail toolbar to make itself scarce.
Try to switch over to plain text by :
Holding down the shift key
Holding down the Shift key is the fastest way to switch between HTML and plain text composition windows.
Note that the Shift key modifier will only work if you click the write or reply buttons in the Thunderbird interface. It doesn't work if you use keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl-N.
Send me a message after trying.
Greetings Firefox volunteer.
