Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

The bottom bar usually shows icons for your installed search engines. It also usually shows icons for suggestion filters: bookmarks, open tabs, and history. And of course there's a settings button on the right.
