Can't install xpi extensions
Hi there!
Recently decided to switch to Thunderbird and synced all emails from Outlook Web. Now I'd like Thunderbird to parse those emails for their email addresses, so I can start re-building my address book. The only possibility I found that lets Thunderbird read addresses from emails is this one: https://freeshell.de//~kaosmos/index-en.html#eac
Unfortunately, the installation does not work. When trying to install the xpi, an error message pops up "The add-on downloaded from this site could not be installed because it appears to be corrupt." This was also the case with two other xpi files I tried to install.
No problems occur when installing add-ons directly from addons.thunderbird.net, however there I couldn't find any that lets me parse the email addresses.
Auxiliary information: OS Linux 5.4.0-66-generic Thunderbird version 78.7.1 User agent Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/78.7.1
Attempted solutions I found online that did not solve the issue: 1. Set the .Config "extensions.strictCompatibility" to "false". 2. Ensure that the .Config "xpinstall.signatures.required" is set to "false". 3. AV might have corrupted the file upon download (not possible since I'm running Linux without AV).
Many thanks in advance! Chris

Is the add-on version compatible with your version of Thunderbird?
