Editing a mailing list in Thunderbird 78 is HORRIBLE: edits do not stick. The editor has a mind of its own, changes my edits. Please fix this BUGGY editor! (I am using Windows 10, 32-bit version.)

You do not need to use the Edit Mailing List name window.

If you want to add or remove a contact from a mailing list: click on 'Address Book' Select the 'Mailing List name' in left pane select contact and use eg: Delete

To add a contact: The contact must be in the address book that contains the Mailing List. Select that address book. Left click on contact and hold down, then drag to the left and hover over the Mailing list name, release mouse to drop into Mailing List.
