I am trying to upload a 40 MB file to Box to send to a colleague. When I drag the file to the Thunderbird message window I get the option to link to Box and when I click this a message that it is uploading. But almost immediately I get a message: "Upload Error Unable to upload xxxxxxxx.xxx to Box. OK"

I do not send large attachments by email often but the last time I tried Box it worked. Can anyone help with why this fails?

I have uploaded the file directly to Box through the browser and attached the link, so my immediate problem is solved but doing it from inside Thunderbird is easier.

Thank you.

Thunderbird 78.10.2 (32-bit) with the addon FileLink Provider for Box version 4 dated 26 November 2020 Windows 10 Home Version 20H2 Installed on ‎2020-‎10-‎25 OS build 19042.985 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0.

Not sure if your Antivirus caused the problem.

Test: Exit all program REstart computer in 'SAfe mode with networking' Start Thunderbird. Test sending large file.

Please note: you are using an addon and therefore it might be helpful to contact the author of the addon to let them know about your issue. But, suggest you first need to verify that it was not other program eg: Anti-Virus causing the problem by it scanning the file.
