The option to block autoplay does not work on sites such as reuters.com, espn.com, and twitter.com. Please fix this or restore the about.config page so we can fix it ourselves without becoming beta testers. I used to love Firefox but this issue has me thinking it is time to switch.

Hi

I have just tried the Reuters site and with the setting set to block autoplay, the video did not autoplay.

Which block autoplay setting have you selected?

more options

Autoplay set to Block Audio and Video. No site exceptions.

I recreated the bug today, August 27, 2021, by loading reuters.com and scrolling down to the section labeled Top Video News. As soon as that section of the page was displayed it autoplayed a video about Jojo Siwa.

Hi

Do you have any add-ons installed?

What level of enhanced tracking protection do you have set?

more options

I do not have any add-ons installed. Enhanced tracking protection is on and set to Strict with no site exceptions.

Hi

Can you try those sites with the enhanced tracking protection set to standard?

more options

I set enhanced tracking protection to Standard, closed the application, and restarted Firefox. When i navigate to reuters.com again i still see the autoplaying video in the section titled Top Video News.
