this machine is read as Win 8 when it is and has been a Win 10 machine?

Hi, This PC I am working on now is always seen as a Win 8 machine when I am using Firefox. The machine is a Win 10 unit. All my other units are read as the correct operating system, and as this is the only one that runs Firefox, I believe I should discuss it with you. The problem only is acute when using this to access secure sites or to buy online. The machine is seen as suspect at all times. Also I struggle with Windows Updates deleting and damaging the operations at every tiny "update." I never use Edge. When they make me helpless, I switch to a Mac. Other than placing updates on delay, which works now and then, is there any other way to cut off microsoft? Gregory Burke ...

NT 6.2 is Windows 8
