This report also contains technical information about the state of the application when it crashed.
Chosen solution
You can rename sessionstore.jsonlz4 (sessionstoreOLD.jsonlz4) and rename the sessionstore-backups folder (sessionstore-backupsOLD) to prevent Firefox from restoring an old session to see if that works.

Much better. The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

This has been an issue of late. Please check this out;
You can check for issues caused by a corrupted or incomplete Visual C++ installation that is missing runtime components (Redistributable Packages) required by Firefox, especially VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.
Install both 32-bit and 64-bit "Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019" downloads, (x86: vc_redist.x86.exe and x64: vc_redist.x64.exe) from https://support.microsoft.com/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads
You may not need the latter (32-bit version) if you use 64-bit Firefox. You may have to reboot the computer. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ In another thread, a user reported that a recent update of Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (version 415) may be causing symptoms similar to the VC Runtime problem. If you have MBAE, it should have a setting to exempt Firefox. You could test whether that makes any difference.
Thank you for your help..I tried and installed both, still the same thing: Crash ID: bp-ec325693-2f24-4d5e-92f3-e64a10211103
I do not have Malwarebytes installed, and latest McAfee scan is showing no problems...is there anything else I can do?

This is the same report you already posted.
Use these links to create a new profile. Use this new profile as is. Is the problem still there?

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Type about:profiles<enter> in the address bar.
Ok...with the new profile, as is, Firefox (without all of my custom settings) starts immediately. I created backups of my existing profiles. Is there any way to repair the default-release profile that is not loading?
Without knowing what caused the problem, you are better off using the new profile.
I take it the new profile is working without a problem, yes?
When you are ready, we can start moving parts of your old data and Copy it to the new profile.
First; open your file browser to the New profile;
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Windows: Show Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder
Linux: Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To its right press the button Open Directory.
Second, open another file browser to the Old profile. You should see it on the directory "tree" in the first file browser. Right-click on that folder and select Open In New Window.
Warning ! ! Only Copy the files you are told. We will avoid anything that might cause problems. Here is the list of files;
cookies: cookies.sqlite Do not bother. Cookies will be created when you return to the website. However, you will have to log in everywhere. And you may lose any settings that websites store on your computer.
extensions(add-ons, themes): it would be better to download them fresh. If you need to remember what add-ons you had, open the extensions sub-folder and look at the .xpi files
logins.json and key3.db [v58+]key4.db : These are the password files. Copy Both !
persdict.dat : custom dictionary - words you added to the dictionary
mimeTypes.rdf [v55+]handlers.json : What to do with what type of file.
places.sqlite : History and Bookmarks.
prefs.js : Your settings. Note: If you were having problems, this could be contaminated.
cert8.db [v58+]cert9.db and possibly cert_override.txt : Stores all your security certificate settings and any SSL certificates you have imported into Firefox. If removed, the cert8.db, cert9.db file will be replaced.
search.json.mozlz4 : file stores the user-installed search engines that are available in the Firefox v47+
search.sqlite file and searchplugins folder store the search engines that are available in the Firefox Search bar before Firefox v47
Copy these files from the old to the new. You may get a message that the files already exist. Choose to over-write for each file.
Try to remove sessionstore.jsonlz4 in the profile folder to prevent Firefox from restoring the session.
Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>
Thanks for your responses...before I begin moving old data to the new profile as FredMcD is outlining, I wanted to clarify something with cor-el; are you suggesting that I go into the existing default-release profile and eliminate the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file, and then attempt to use my existing profile? Reason I am asking is because upon examination, this is what I see in the default-release profile folder:
sessionstore.jsonlz4 58.6 MB file size
I only had one window open when I had closed and restarted Firefox, my guess is that one of the older sessions might have caused the issue...just want to clarify that you are suggesting that I delete this large file and then attempt to restart?
Thank you so both so much for all of your help...this has been most frustrating.
Is it in fact possible that the sessionstore file could in fact be causing this error...and if so, is it possible to simply overwrite the file with the error with another clean file rather than create a new profile...I will continue to do research but any feedback would be greatly appreciated; thank you!
Chosen Solution
You can rename sessionstore.jsonlz4 (sessionstoreOLD.jsonlz4) and rename the sessionstore-backups folder (sessionstore-backupsOLD) to prevent Firefox from restoring an old session to see if that works.
I renamed sessionstore.jsonlz4 and sessionstore-backups to sessionstoreOLD, and switched back to the default-release profile in the Profile Manager and it is restarting now...testing things out and will let you know if this works. I did save backups of the files I renamed in a separate location (sessionstore and sessionstore-backups) in the event I should need to refer to them later...let me run a few tests and see if this issue is resolved.
So far, so good. I am still testing the waters, but it appears that sessionstore was corrupted and loading an older session that kept crashing everything. Thanks very much to both FredMcD and cor-el for your patience with me and your assistance and advice. I am back to using the original default-release profile for the moment, but if I experience further issues, will follow the instructions for copying data to the new profile and use that. Thanks very much again for your help.
