Today I ran into an issue I never experienced before and which I somehow can't fix. Whenever I hit the CTRL button (e.g. for CTRL+F, CTRL+A, CTRL+C, etc.) the zoom is decreased by 10%. Same goes when I use the CTRL button to zoom with the mouse wheel.

I'm using Firefox 94.0.1 (64-bit) under Windows 10

I tried closing the browser and opening it again, restarting the computer and using Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode, but the problem persists. A search in the forum here and on google yielded no relevant results.

Anybody who's got some good advice for me? Thank you very much.

Chosen solution

Problem solved: Unplugging the wireless mouse receiver and plugging it into a different USB-port did the trick!

It's possible one of the keys is stuck. Press all the command keys hard several times.

Thanks, but that's not it. The keyboard is fairly new and high-end.

It seems to be not Firefox related though - in several other apps/programs, menus shuffle downward by themselves. Bizarre is, that within Firefox, the websites don't scroll down, but when CTRL is pressed, it responds like the mouse was scrolling down at the same time.

Even more strangely, the problem persists when the mouse is switched off....

That was very good work. Well Done.
