Is there an upgrade for Windows Thunderbird to 64bit? Or do I have to uninstall 32bit and install 64bit?

If I have to do a new install, how do I make sure I don't lose many years of save archive?

Thanks Jon

Download 64bit from https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/ and simply install over top of your existing Thunderbird program directory.
