Limit on FF History
For legal reasons, I needed to know the date upon which I visited a particular website several years ago. To my dismay I learned that FF browsing Hx was limited to 6 months. Now, it's limited to a number of visits. Does Hx have to be limited at all? Why? Surely, at this point in our technology we can store records as small as Website names and dates — can't we?
Really needed that date!

The History Manager only records the last time a link was visited. I think what you want is not accessible.
You might find something here; https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=history
You would need an older copy of places.sqlite to inspect older history.
If you use the Time Machine or other backup then you can check if such a backup copy is available
