Im having a issue, that video (plaing on a second monitor) laggs/freezes (not compleatly) when the fokus is on a fullscreen game. The problem only apears in firefox, cromium based browsers dont seem to have the problem. I've seen this happen on twitch and youtube. The video randomly updates the displayed image and sometimes playes slowly/laggy.

System Specs: Windows 11 Firefox Version: 96.0.2 (64-Bit)

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version?cache=no Did you update Firefox to the latest version?

Version 96.0, first offered to Release channel users on January 11, 2022 Version 96.0.1, first offered to Release channel users on January 14, 2022 Version 96.0.3, first offered to Release channel users on January 27, 2022

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1359657#answer-1463359 and updated to 95.0. . . . I finally found where the plugin "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc." was not updating to the newest version of December 1, 2021. Ver #4.10.2391.0

cor-el; Make sure you have the latest Widevine version. You can toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.

You can possibly check the XHR requests in the Browser Console if this doesn't work.

What kind of game(s) are you playing ?

Is that game using WebGL or other features that are demanding a lot of graphics processing ?

Do you have enabled hardware acceleration in Firefox ?

@FredMcD FF Version 96.0.3 has the same Problem and acording to about:plugins Widevine is updated to the new Version (Version: 4.10.2391.0)

@cor-el I've tried a vew games and the only one that causes the Problem it theHunter CotW (witch makes the Problem a lot smaller then i thought and maybe not so new). As far as im aware of it doesn't use WebGL. I've tried turning off hardware acceleration, but it doesn't make any difference.
