I cannot get foxfire to install the latest update(99) even though it downloads and I have tried going completely off the internet but it still won't install the update.

I can't install update 99 in foxfire. After it downloads I go out to install but it never will show installed I don't know how to find out why microsoft has any say in what I install but if I can find out where their start settings maybe I can change it to always allow as I have tried to do

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What are the exact error messages?

Were you trying to update the browser or were you using the full installer from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
