A free version is available at burnaware dot com To read the messages, you would need to copy back to hard drive. I suggest you copy the entire profile folder, which is located at c"\users\yourID\appdata\roaming\thunderbird. If you want to back them up a immediately readable, I suggest using the importexport addon and exporting folders to .eml.
