Mac Bookmark dialogue box issue
When I select "Add Bookmark" from the Bookmark dropdown menu on the menu bar, the popup menu to select the location (folder) to place the bookmark quickly flashes open and closed. The bookmark is created, but it is created in the last place that a bookmark was added. If I am still on that tab and I try to use "Edit Bookmark" from the menu bar to open the pop up it also just flashes up and closes.
If I move away from that tab to another one, and then come back to it, the "Edit Bookmark is not even listed as an option."
Can you please assist.
/edit: moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to Firefox section as you have macOS<b/b>.

I tried it in safe mode and still had the same problem.
Next observation. The issue occurs when I use Bookmarks from the menu bar at the top of the screen. If I use the right side of the screen and use the bookmarks menu from there, it works properly.

It turned out to be a weird settings error in the keyboard settings on the iMac. Apparently in System Preferences/Accessibility/Keyboard there was a box ticked with Enable Full Keyboard Access. It needs to be blank. It also created issues when I was tabbing in spreadsheets and Word documents. It took all day to resolve the issue and about two hours on the phone to Apple.
