I am unable to delete an unwanted email account in Thunderbird. I have an iMac, Thunderbird version 102.4.2 installed. When I select the account, then click on Settings, then click on Manage identifies I get a window that shows the account highlighted, but the Delete button is greyed out and cannot be used to delete the account. Any suggestions? Thank you

So are you trying to delete an identity, or the main account? In the latter case, make sure to first backup any messages you want to keep. Then press Alt or F10 in case the menu bar is hidden. From the main menu bar: Tools - Account Settings Select the account to be deleted in the left pane. Select 'Remove Account' from the 'Account Action' drop-down menu at the bottom.
