Cannot connect to any website with Firefox but I can connect with other browsers: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

I would really appreciate any help as I am at my wit's end. Until yesterday I could use Firefox normally on a Windows 10 computer. But since today, all websites have failed to load, and I get a PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR message on the screen. However, other browsers seem to have no problem (I'm writing this using Chrome). I have already tried all the possible solutions listed here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can to no avail. I tried connecting to another network, and it still failed to load any website and kept returning the same error message. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, and the problem remains the same.

I am a huge supporter of the browser and would hate switching to another option, but I do not see what else I can do to solve the problem.

What security software are you running? I'm guessing Kaspersky. If so, have a look at this. https://forum.kaspersky.com/topic/getting-pr_connect_reset_error-in-firefox-when-using-kaspersky-total-security-28248/

Thanks so much! That did the trick. I imagined that it was related to the AV but could not figure what was about it
