Good day, I have a drive for programs (C:), and a drive for program data (D:) - for all my programs. I'd like to put the TB data (ie inbox, etc) in my drive for program data. I have this for Outlook (program on C:, outlook.pst on D:), however I am replacing Outllook with TB. I reviewed the support pages, but there is no clear procedure for this - only replies on fixing users failed attempts. Thank you for your assist.

Nice reply!! A little clarification if you will though - Re. "-copy the account and place on drive d." (yes, I use POP) Am I correct to aassume that the 'account' is located at : C:\Users\me\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird ? - or is the account a sub-floder inside the directory : C:\Users\me\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird ?

Again, Thanks

The simple way to do that: - add the account normally on drive c. - exit thunderbird - copy the account (in Mail folder if POP and in Imapmail folder if IMAP and place on drive d - start thunderbird - rightclick account, click 'server settings' pane - at bottom, click 'browse' button to locate and select the account on drive d - exit and restart thunderbird - if all is well, then exit thunderbird and delete the account folder on drive c.

The profile folder is a folder inside ...appdata\roaming\thunderbird\profiles. The easiest way to reach it is to click help>moretroubleshootinginformation, scroll down to profile folder, click 'open folder', then exit thunderbird and the Mail folder is right there.
