After browsing the internet and leaving the browser open, my computer obviously goes to sleep. After i wake up the computer and try to use the browser the browser will refresh the page that was open before instead of opening the URL i type in. example. I browse for book titles on information technology management. I go to bed without closing the browser. The next morning I unlock the machine. The browser is in focus. I type www.google.com in the address bar. The page with the book titles from previous session refreshes and Google does not open. Only on typing the URL again will it open.,

I have searched for a solution but could not find it.

That sounds like O/S and security software issue with idle open programs. You need to check your O/S sleep setting along with the security software and how it detects idle wake restart.
